In his own words

I lead Magalhaes Partners as I have led the businesses of the Magalhaes Holding group: with discretion, rigour, and the long view.

Over four decades I have led companies and institutions across industries and markets. I have acted as Chief Executive, as Chairman, as Board Member, and as principal investor. The mandates I accept today extend that work into other organisations, in a personal capacity, alongside the chairmanship of the Magalhaes Holding group.

What I bring to a mandate is not a methodology but a standard: the standard by which I choose what I own, with whom I work, and the institutions in which I participate. Engagements are limited in number, taken in a personal capacity, and held in confidence.
